Football Ticket FAQ

What happens if COVID guidelines still mandate a reduced capacity in Memorial Stadium in the fall of 2021?

Should Restore Illinois guidelines still restrict Illinois Athletics from hosting a full-capacity crowd, the Illinois Ticket Office will work to implement seating plans to maximize our capacity given the current state and local guidelines.

Season ticket locations would be allocated in order of I FUND priority based on membership level and the priority point system.

If Restore Illinois guidelines do not allow for full capacity, or at a minimum, restrict entry from all season ticket holders, season ticket holders will have similar options to what occurred during 2020 and can choose from the follow:

  •  Credit their ticket payments to the 2022 season
  •  Donate their ticket payments to the I FUND to support student-athlete scholarships
  •  Request a full refund

If season ticket holders do not receive their order due to Restore Illinois guidelines, they will also not be penalized in regards to priority points and will maintain their consecutive years of purchase points.

If I credited my 2020 ticket payments towards the 2021 season, will I have a balance due for the 2021 football season?

Season ticket holders whose tickets were paid for in full during the 2020 renewal period will not have a balance due to in 2021. Ticket prices will remain flat for the 2021 season.

Season ticket holders who donated their 2020 ticket payments to the I FUND, received a refund, or did not pay off their 2020 tickets in full should expect to receive a renewal form from the Illinois Ticket Office for the opportunity to purchase their season tickets in 2021, which will reflect no price increase.

If I did not renew/pay for tickets in 2020, how will my priority point status be affected?

We all acknowledge the 2020 season was one of uncertainty and hope all season ticket holders will return in 2021. All priority points will be honored for the 2020 season and every season ticket holder will have the opportunity to renew their same seats this spring.

I changed seat locations and/or purchased new or additional season tickets during the 2020 season ticket renewal period. For the 2021 Football season, what seats will be on my account?

Season ticket holders will be eligible to renew their most recent season ticket location tied to their account. If seat changes were made during the 2020 renewal period, that seat location will be on record for the 2021 season.

When will season ticket upgrades/seat change requests be processed for the 2021 season?

If a season ticket holder requests an upgrade or change in seat location for the 2021 season, the Illinois Ticket Office will contact you after the renewal period is over (renewal deadline is April 19th). The seat change/upgrade process will begin in early May.

Will season parking passes be available for 2021 and when will the request period take place?

Season parking passes are a benefit for I FUND members who donate a minimum of $100. Any Football season ticket holder who is an I FUND member will be contacted in May with options of what parking lots they are eligible for, and they may submit their preferences at that time. The Illinois Ticket Office will let this group of I FUND members know which lot they are assigned to in June.

When will I be able to purchase single game tickets, mini plans, or away game tickets?

Historically, mini-plans have been available for purchase in May and single game tickets in June. However, these timeframes are subject to change pending updates to capacity restrictions and/or state and local guidelines with COVID-19.

Similarly, away game tickets are usually made available to I FUND members and season ticket holders in May. This timeline is subject to change and eligible individuals will be notified as soon as away game tickets are available to purchase.

I am currently a UIUC student, and would like to purchase season tickets. How and when can I do so?

Illinois Football student season tickets are usually available for sale beginning late in the spring semester and sold throughout the summer leading up to football season. This timeline is subject to change and more information will be communicated to students when available.

Club seat season ticket locations would be allocated in order of I FUND priority based on membership level and the priority point system.
